Wayne has been asked back for another solo acoustic set at Loom Bar's super secret monthly cabaret night, and hurrah for this. Expect a wide range of improvised and rehearsed comedy shenanigans from Gwyn Taylor and the gang, plus Wayne trying to sing serious songs with a straight face, possibly with some silly ones thrown in for good measure. Right. This one's a bit complicated, but after several years of extremely difficult negotiations, we've finally been booked by the Extremely Big And Important International Monto Corporation of Aquatic Rodents (MONTO) to play at their other venue - Underbelly in Hoxton Square (UNDERBELLY) - and not at the Water Rats at all (NO), which is somewhere else entirely. Getting in is easy-peasy: it'll be eight pounds on the door if you just turn up (HI) but they have an Special Early Bird list system (SPECIAL), which means that you (YOU) can get in for only six pounds (SIX POUNDS) if you a) tell me you are coming and how many people you are bringing with you, plus their names and b) show up before 7.45 (EARLY). Simple, isn't it. I don't know why all the venues don't do that.

By the grace of Goo has the date for the CD launch and do has been fixed and lo it shall be the 22nd of July. For Wayne spoke unto Goo saying 'You know, I'd really like to have a CD launch gig around about the end of July', and Goo spoke unto Wayne saying 'Well, how about the 22nd then, you can come and do it at my Sunday Cross Kings acoustic cabaret thing which you have already played twice before.' And Wayne spoke unto Goo saying 'That's brilliant. Cheers mate.'

And Goo smiled upon Wayne and spake more saying 'You know, if you want to ask some friends to play as well that would be fabulous', and Wayne frowned, realising that many of his friends are no longer in the UK and therefore may not be available for London gigs even with a month's notice. Another acoustic outing for Wayne, this time at a benefit do for the very lovely and worthy Down2Earth crowd at the rampART centre in Whitechapel. Rumour has it that his friends Jamika and Renu are also playing, plus, according to the email he got, there'll also be the following:

Camel Bar with Shisha Pipes, Henna tattoos for men and women, Visuals, Belly dancing, mint tea and Arabic music.

Small Cinema showing films which highlight current ecological, humanitarian and justice issues and giving you time to chill out and think.

Banana Leaf Cafe for authentic Indian cooking and a space to catch up on Campaigns and read or discuss issues.

And some other live music too, apparently, though we have no idea what.

All proceeds go to support Down2Earth projects for street children and environmental conservation in India and South America.

Should be both a worthy and a fun night out then...
